Dustkeeper Warminds

Equipped with advanced combat protocols, the AI instances in personal control of the Dustkeeper Contingency's droneships are referred to as warminds.

Mechanics

Warminds behave similarly to a standard AI core, but they can only be installed into automated ships.

Unlike normal AIs, which are always Fearless in combat (even more aggressive than a Reckless human officer), warminds have a range of less-suicidal behaviors and have better self-preservation.

In player fleets, warminds generally have a reduced point multiplier compared to normal AI cores, with a multiplier 0.25x lower than typical.

Recruitment

At any Dustkeeper station (which currently only includes Holdout Forgeship), the player can find generic Dustkeeper warminds for recruitment. These warminds have fixed personalities, levels and portraits, but random names. There are only a few available per playthrough. Recruiting one of these warminds costs a story point and requires that the player have the Automated Ships skill.

Echo 5 2.75x Aggressive 1

There are 3 unique warminds available for recruitment via quests. Each has a special skill. This skill counts against their maximum but cannot be swapped out for another.
