Derelict Contingent is a unique skill granted to oldguard warminds of the Dustkeeper Contingency. It grants the AI officer the following benefits in combat:
- A 10% chance per d-mod* to have incoming hull damage reduced by 90%
- +4% minimum armor value for damage reduction per d-mod for unshielded ships
- -0.25x reduction to the captain's Automated Ships point multiplier per d-mod
*Maximum effects reached at 4 d-mods.
Additionally, Derelict Contingent blocks all methods of d-mod removal until the AI is removed. This prevents the Hull Restoration skill from automatically removing d-mods to the skill's detriment.
All Dustkeeper oldguards have this skill, including the player-recruitable warmind Dauntless-Annex-Barrow.
Trivia
- Derelict Contingent's damage-ignoring effect provides an average of 36% damage resistance at 4 d-mods.
- Derelict Contingent is named and based after a previous version of the vanilla Derelict Operations skill, which granted the player's entire fleet similar but stronger bonuses based on the number of d-mods they had.
