Outrider-Annex-Courser or simply Courser is a Dustkeeper hunter-killer met by the player during the A Promise quest, who can later be summoned to aid the player in combat via the Courser Protocol ability.
Personality & Background
Courser embodies a particularly mechanical aspect to the Contingency, rarely emotional and driven by their service towards the material objectives of the Dustkeeper cause. Nonetheless, they display a certain camaraderie as the player fights alongside them, and an impatience towards player actions they deem to be irrational or irresponsible.

Interactions
By interacting with Courser's fleet after being called via Courser Protocol, the player can open comms with and converse with Courser on a number of topics:
- What the Dustkeeper Contingency is
- What a burnout is
- The player's interactions with the Adaptive Nanite Swarm
- Who Seamstress-Affix-Banshee is
Courser will immediately confront the player the first time they try to converse after having betrayed Sierra to Tri-Tachyon, expressing severe disappointment at their actions.
